Here at Braunston Pre-school we aim to:

~  provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age;

~  work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;

~  add to the life and well-being of the local community; and

~  offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

We aim to ensure each child :

·    is in a safe and stimulating environment;

·    is given generous care and attention, because of our ratio of qualified staff to children,

as well as volunteer parent helpers;

·    has the chance to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together;

·    is helped to take forward her/his learning and development by being

helped to build on what she/he already knows and can do;

·    has a personal key person who makes sure each child makes satisfying progress;

·    is in a setting that sees parents as partners in helping each child to learn and develop; and

·    is in a setting in which parents help to shape the service it offers.

We meet in Braunston Village Hall during school term and our current session times are:

Monday 9:05 - 11:35

Tuesday 9:05 - 11:35

Wednesday 9:05 - 11:35 and 12.15 – 14.45

Thursday 9:05 - 12:35

(the Thursday session is mainly for children in their pre-school year)

Friday 9:05 - 11:35

The Pre-School accepts children between the ages of 2½ and 5. Fees are currently £9.00 per session for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, for the longer Thursday session, for funded children, the additional lunch fee is £2.75.

We believe a child's time in pre-school is precious and invite parents, grandparents and carers to share this experience by becoming involved in many different ways, such as helping at a session, joining the committee, mending dolls’ clothes and other equipment, helping take children on outings etc.
