Staff & Committee
The Pre-School is a registered charity and is run by an elected committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group,although the day to day running of the group is in the hands of experienced staff. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff. Our Annual General Meeting, at which the committee for the following year is elected, is held in October and parents/carers will be informed in good time so they are able to attend.

Lyn Crooks
I am head of setting and have been qualified as a teacher (B’Ed) since 1980. I have taught children from the ages of 2 2/1 – 11+ years over the span of my teaching career. I have 2 grown up children and live in Braunston.
Carol Tippett
I am a supervisor at Braunston Pre-school, having worked at the pre-school since 1998. I am qualified to NVQ 3. I have 3 grown up children and live in Daventry.
Sue Allinson
I have been with the Pre-school for 8 years and previous to that was secretary on the committee for 3 years. I have 3 children, who have all attended the Pre-school and i also live in Braunston. I am currently completing a foundation degree in Early Years Studies at Northampton University.
Alison Rowe
I have been at pre-school for 10 years and am the setting SENCO. I am currently completing a foundation degree in Early Years Studies at Northampton University. I live in Daventry and have 2 teenage boys.
Frank Smith
I started working in Braunston Pre-school as a parent helper when my youngest daughter started, age 3. She is now in year 5, but I enjoyed working here so much I am still here! Although we live in Daventry |I met my wife in Braunston, we have 4 children between us, from 21 year old university student to a 10 year old in Braunston primary.
Hollie Skelcey
I have worked as an assistant since January 2012, previous to this I volunteered at the pre-school for almost a year. I have lived in Braunston all my life, and I even attended playgroup in the Village Hall which later went on to become the Pre-school.
Suzie Powner
I joined the team at Braunston Pre-school in February 2012 after moving to Daventry 6 months earlier. I gained my NNEB qualification in 1993 and have always worked in childcare. My experience is as a nanny and nursery officer with children from birth to 12 years. I have 2 young boys.
Debby Levison
I joined Pre-school in February 2012 and I have worked with children of all ages over the last 20 years. I trained as a riding instructor and have worked as a school governor and on a pre-school committee. I have 2 children and i live in Daventry.

Braunston Pre-School is located at the Village Hall, in the heart of Braunston, a rural canalside village. We aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment for our children during their pre-school years. Our objectives are to support children and parents in working towards positive educational experiences, to provide good learning experiences according To guidelines laid out by OFSTED, to provide good learning experiences according To guidelines laid out by OFSTED, we firmly believe in working towards equal opportunities for all children and families.
